He's here!!! Sweet Baby J was born Saturday, March 8 @ 9:48 am.
And let me tell you this Little Bear was quite a bit of trouble. I'll share the whole birth story later this week, but for now I'll just tell you that recovering from an emergency c-section is NOTHING like recovering from a vaginal birth. The emotions, the physical recovery, the stress of the situation...I wasn't prepared for any of it, and while we are finally resting at home (after spending 3 full days and nights in the hospital) I can tell you I still feel like a bit of a mess.
But crazy delivery aside, I am very thankful for a big, beautiful, healthy baby boy.
He was 9 lbs 10 oz and 22.5 inches long!
Welcome back to Babies and Beyond!
And just a reminder, there are lots of ways you can follow along with each of your co-hosts. We LOVE getting to know you!

Congratulations!!! He is so beautiful!!! I have to tell you that I felt such kinship with you after reading this. I have had two emergency c-sections with two big babies (9.13, 11.5) and the recovery is definitely a difficult road. But I will say that after 6 weeks the pain gets a lot better, and by 3 months you feel pretty much back to normal. It's hard but hang in there!! If you ever need to vent to a fellow c-section mama my email is lesterladybug@hotmail.com :) Congrats again on your beautiful family of 5!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Bridget! I didn't realize you'd had two c-sections! Those were big babies!!!
