How to Follow Along

The END OF THE WORLD is at hand!!!

Okay, not really. It's just Google Reader that's coming to an end, which is slightly less significant that the whole world...just slightly.

Starting July 1st (that's Monday for all your procrastinators out there), you will no longer get your blog feeds in Google Reader. I know many of you have heard about this and have taken steps to save your favorite blogs (like this one, I'm sure!), but just in case you haven't, let me give you a run down of how you can continue to follow along here at Proverbs and Pacifiers.

*And if you are one of those people who rely my mom to link my blog posts to Facebook (you know who you are!) then these options are great for you too! Follow along!

1. Email
The most straightforward, no-hassle way to be notified of new blog post is to have them sent directly to your email inbox. Each new post and any cute pictures of my kids will be sent to you every time Proverbs and Pacifiers is updated. I follow several blogs through our email service and have never gotten any spam! I enjoy getting blogs by email because I can save them to go back and read whenever I have some free time, and I'm guaranteed not to miss a post.

And of course, you can easily unsubscribe at anytime, although I can't imagine why you'd want to {smile}

2. Facebook
I know many of you have already liked the Proverbs and Pacifiers Facebook page (THANK YOU!), but you may not be receiving notifications in your newsfeed (oh no!).

To make sure you are getting updates, hover your mouse over the "Liked" button on our Proverbs and Pacifiers page make sure the "Show in News Feed" option is checked. If not, just click and follow.

*If you have a Facebook page for your blog please, leave a comment on my Facebook wall so I can follow back.

3. Bloglovin'
If you follow lots of blogs and want a convenient replacement for Google Reader, you need to try Bloglovin'! I've been using it for several months now, and I've been very impressed with the service. I mostly read blogs from the Bloglovin' app on my phone which is great for all those waiting times when I have nothing to do but twiddle my thumbs.

Plus, you can easily transfer your Google Reader account to Bloglovin' without having to manually follow each blog all over again. Make sure you are logged into Google Reader and then go to and follow the prompts. Easy, Peasy!

And if you already use Bloglovin' you can follow Proverbs and Pacifiers by clicking the button below.

4. Pintrest

Okay, this isn't really a great way to get blog updates, but while we're talking about getting connected I thought I'd mention that I would love for you to follow me on Pintrest. I've struggled with Pintrest in the past, but I'm trying to do better about pinning blog posts and sharing recipes I've actually tried. You know, real life! Plus, I need new people to follow, so come on! The more the merrier!

And can I just say...
Thank you! Bloggers write for a lot of different reasons, but my favorite one has always been youI hope Proverbs and Pacifiers is a place you can receive that encouragement and edification. I may write about my family and our joys and struggles, but my heart is always reaching out to those who may be reading. My prayer is that the Lord will take this fondness I have for writing (I really do love it!) and use it for His honor and glory in my life and hopefully in yours.

So thank you for following along. Thank you for every kind comment, every Facebook message, and every email. You (yes, you!) are important to me and this blog, so please, pull up a chair and stay awhile. I really am glad you are here!
