God is Good

God is good. 

Even on days when you can't find anything to wear because it got cold outside and you suddenly realize you don't own any winter maternity clothes. 

God is good. 

Even on days when you drive through the ATM to get money for a tithe only to discover that because of a silly budgeting error (you spent more than you had) you have insufficient funds in your account. 

God is good. 

Even on days when your one-year old only gets a one hour nap and decides to dump a plate of corn bread on the floor. 

God is good. 

Even on days when you are so tired you almost fall asleep during evening worship  and then of course can't sleep when you get home because cornbread gives you heart burn (crazy!). 

God is good. 

Some days it's easy to get discouraged, to complain, to be discontent. We all have "bad" days. Days where the things that go wrong far outweigh the things that go right. 

But even in those days, God is good. 

He gives us peace when we are stressed, comfort when we're depressed, and ice  cream to get us through those exhausting moments of parenthood. 

And when we find our rest in Him, when we put our trust in His goodness and not our own circumstances, we will bear fruit even during the toughest of times 

When our roots run deep into God's goodness, we will never be without His provision and His faithfulness. 

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.Jeremiah 17:7-8
